Welcome to the world of masking, one of the more an obscure branches of latex & rubber fetishism.

The closest I've got to this area is perhaps donning a swimming cap when I was younger to prevent excessive hair wetness, but it stopped there.

I did do some minor googling and found this quote which only partly hints at the appeal, "from the wearer's point of view, the mask provides an opportunity to be completely surrounded by the powerful smells and tactile qualities of latex. They can heighten sensitivity and fear/excitement in the way leather and rubber sensory-deprivation hoods used in BDSM scenarios do. And because many of the maskers combine the mask with tight-fitting corsets and layered clothing, there can also be an element of containment or bondage." from Deviantdesires.com
Now, there's a much more in depth article here

These images suggest that the avatars composed in Second Life have been fully realised. All of us have a mask of some sort, but in theses instances they are made explicit (honest). In that sense what is interesting is how ‘masking’ is used not to hide but to ‘reveal’ (e.g. desire).

It's like Avid Merrion on acid;
Picture 2: Britney Spears (middle) and friends attend The Spice Girls reunion.
Picture 3: Scary, Posh, Sporty and Baby Spice attend a press talk. But Scary is getting impatient “Aye man! where’s our boy Ginger got too?”
Picture 4: Ginger says, “I'll just have one more pie while I watch my workout video”
