An overproduction of objects results in an overproduction of sound. Each individual noise adds to a global soundscape which affects our health and quality of life. In bringing a product into the world, it is the designer’s responsibility to manage the sound that comes with the product.
Lise Lefebvre's Thesis explores the potential of sound as a criterion for design and the subsequent effects it could have on the look, feel, texture and overall experience of an object. |
