As a follow up to my posting on Chris Adler, (see previous entry), I recently got to see Lamb Of God live, here in Sheffield.

I owe my current dose of metal revival-itus to this band, so I knew that to call myself a true fan I HAD to get down the front and into 'the pit''. Having watched plenty of footage of the Lamb's and their audience's live behaviour, I was slightly nervous, but also excited, (its nice to have reached an age where I'm no longer scared of the mosh-pit).

My fellow moshers were an interesting bunch... from forty-something beards & buckles, to the nu wave of tattooed teen all-stars, plus before the band came on I noticed there were some 'chicks' in there too, but they must've been killed shortly after take off.
I fought for my life for at least six numbers until we got to the 'Wall of Death' moment, which is where the pit splits into two to face each, then on the singer's count of three both sides charge and, in my case, hope for a quick death. This resulted in me being being kicked in the full bladder, sending me hurtling toward the gents.

Believe it or not I had a great time.

If it helps the relevance of this entry, I'll add that the resulting bruises I suffered, if photographed well, would've probably competed well with some of the colourful wonderment regularly uploaded to this site.
